چکیده
The field of optical thin films has garnered significant attention due to their potential applications in visible light communication, sensing, and imaging. Among the various fabrication methods available, conventional layer-by-layer (LBL) dip coating is less sophisticated more economical. Nevertheless, this approach frequently encounters deficiencies precise control growth films. This work aimed at properly comprehending conditions associated with LBL process optimizing obtain best film for different materials: metallic (Ag), semiconducting (ZnO), insulating (SiO2). optimization surface functionalization 3-aminopropyltriethoxysilane (APTES) together other parameters like dipping time, drying number dipping–drying cycles, timing intermediate APTES layers led controlled Atomic force microscopy scanning electron revealed even deposition case ZnO SiO2 from very beginning, while Ag NPs, was observed be uneven gradually became smooth as increased, a layer could after over 100 dipping.

Memetic Algorithm Approach to Thin-Film Optical Coating Design
The problem of optimizing a series of thin-film layers in order to achieve a desired reflectivity of light over a range of frequencies is studied. The approach studied here is to employ an evolutionary algorithm combined with random local searches to obtain the best fit. This Memetic Algorithm is found to result in faster convergence than in the case when no local searches are employed.

A two-terminal semiconducting single-walled carbon nanotube (SC-SWNT) film in contact with an ionic liquid allows the realization of an extremely high density of holes, inducing a strong position-dependent electromodulation of the interband and excitonic transitions as a result of the position-dependent shift of the SWNT Fermi level. Electrical control of the optical transmission suggests appli...
